We are happy to announce the newest addition to our team! Please help us welcome Kyle Rogers, our newest Prototype Technician. Read on to learn more about him.
At Excel, Kyle is an integral part of our Packaging Tech Department. He helps us produce more samples and mock-ups in our state-of-the-art Packaging Engineering Lab. These are precise prototypes for clients that help them make informed decisions about the sizing and materials they will use for their packaging, in the early stages of development. Kyle creates these samples using computer controlled cutting, UV printing, and precise heat sealing–producing consistent and reliable results efficiently. He also collects and executes on feedback and requests from clients.
Kyle is also an important part of our efforts to continuously improve quality. He has already successfully applied LEAN/Six-Sigma techniques to the Engineering Lab operations. In the coming months, he will be part of our migration team as we update our ISO 9001 Quality Management certification to the most recent 2015 standard, including the section on Continuous Improvement (CI).
Kyle gets a lot of satisfaction from being able to participate in the volunteer events we attend as a company. He’s also a big fan of our regular in-office lunches featuring carne asada tacos and freshly made guacamole. He loves to see our clients’ packaging in store shelves. It is rewarding to see client work come to life, knowing you were part of the team that helped make that package possible!
Kyle was born and raised in Southern California, living in beautiful Rancho Santa Margarita since he was a child. He attended Trabuco Hills High School, where he participated in lots of different sports. In high school, he played basketball, volleyball and football. Going on eight years now, Kyle continues to enjoy regularly playing volleyball with friends, especially on the beach. Prior to joining us, Kyle worked as a Technician Assistant at Top Notch and later as Permit Specialist. He really enjoyed having the opportunity to drive through much of the state thanks to his time with Top Notch. As a lover of food, he particularly enjoyed trying the local fare on his different assignments.
Outside the office, Kyle greatly enjoys camping and hiking. He frequents Joshua Tree as well as Mount Jacinto. He recommends hiking to the summit of Mt. Jacinto to see the spectacular view! He also loves his dog, a golden retriever he’s cared for since she was a puppy. In his spare time, he is taking Computer Science classes at Saddleback College as well.
We’re very happy to have him on board!
